The Aims of the Patient Participation Group
The main aim of the PPG is to provide effective communication between the staff and the patients of Readesmoor Medical Centre and to support the practice by improving services.
The objectives of the group:
- To discuss practice and NHS issues
- Idea generator
- Information dissemination
- Positive influence for practice and patient relationships
- Supportive to the needs of the local health population whilst recognising the pressures on general practice
The group meet quarterly at the practice – other practice members are usually present too including Senior Management and GP Partners.
We are looking for new members. If you are still at school and over 16 years OR if you are a parent with a child/children, and you would like to influence the provisions of services a you wish to participate complete the online form by clicking on the button shown below.
You will need to be a registered patient with Readesmoor Medical centre and be available to attend our bi-monthly meetings which normally take place later in the afternoon and last for about one hour.
We aim to acknowledge your request within a few days.
Please note that the PPG cannot become involved in matters of a specifically medical or clinical nature.
Virtual Group
The group would like to contact patients on occasion by email and/or text so that they can obtain the views of the widest group of patients possible. This association aims to promote the role and benefits of PPGs to patients, the public and health professionals, to create more understanding of the value of true patient participation also to promote the support available from N.A.P.P. Find out more about them click here.
